CryptoAvatars v. 2.0 — Be Anything, Anywhere

Exciting steps towards avatar interoperability. CryptoAvatars presents new features, tools and avatar collections within our ecosystem.

Platform Updates

We’re happy to be making changes into our platform, especially on our avatar profiles section. The most relevant piece of website you want to send to a friend is now shareable and public, you can follow accounts and like avatars. Welcome to a more social platform!

Profile

Take a look to your updated profile version. The main change is that you now can see your favourite avatar in the middle of the screen. On the left you’ll see your profile info with a panel named Favourite Avatars, a section where you can add up to 4 of them. On the right you’ll see the main avatar info and details this user chose, among a list with their owned avatars, animations and poses.

Poses

Pose your avatar as you desire! With our new system you can now create Poses. These are not NFTs, it’s a customization layer we’ve added into your profile. Create once and apply to any avatar. Once you add a Pose to a owned avatar, others will be able to see your avatar as you posed them through your profile.

Avatar Explorer

Looking for your favourite avatar has never been so easy! Look for Collections, Artists, Users and individual Avatars. Use filters to also look for the most liked or most viewed ones. Sort by Licensing (OpenSource) or Chain (Ethereum or Polygon).

Another update on Collections; these are now showing more information. A profile picture and a cover, social media links and an activity tab showing detailed info about all the transactions happening in the collection.

Avatar.Webcam

Plug in, let your avatar impersonate you at videocalls. The first App by CryptoAvatars is here: Avatar.Webcam. Download our tool and you’re good to go, select your preferred videocall method and change the input to Avatar.Webcam, it’s that easy!

Select any OpenSource avatar listed on our platform without even loging in. Or select your owned ones by signing with the Metamask browser extension. You can also drop any VRM avatar and use it right away.

We’re adding multiple background scenes so you can change not only colours. Other special backgrounds will be created only for specific avatar collections. Expect multiple updates on our app, we will also make sure it works on MacOS devices before jumping into our mobile app…

Avatar Collections — Omnimorphs VRM

We’re thrilled to introduce to our platform the web3-native fantasy world of Omnimorphs, the first full collection imported into our platform. After successfully implementing them into The Sandbox, they’re now ready to step into VRM.

8,958 unique 3D avatars re-created by our 3D art team and generated by our tech team. We’ve achieved huge interoperability possibilities to their holders, and we will continue to do so by updating our platform, adding new ones to integrate and developing useful tools.

Omnimorphs VRM are free to use, their owners can instantly use them across multiple virtual worlds via CryptoAvatars.io and in videocalls using Avatar.Webcam.

Other PFP collections coming soon…

Avastars. The OG PFP project is adding interoperability options for their holders! We’re almost there generating this impressive 3D VRM collection, that will be integrated in our platform really soon. Stay tuned!

100 Avatars Round 3. Our mythic VRChat avatar collection is coming back, adding 100 avatars to the 200 that are already public at https://www.100avatars.com/. More updates coming early 2023.

CryptoAvatars Spaces

Talking about interoperability… we’re bringing our headquarters to every metaverse platform we’re in. Improving our presence and granting a source of trustful information about our ecosystem. We’re showcasing interoperability, how our platform works, our artists’ creations and our main avatar collections. It’s also the perfect place to host recurrent events.

Where are we launching? In Decentraland, Webaverse, Monaverse, Spatial and Hyperfy. More platforms coming next.

We’re hosting CryptoAvatars v. 2.0 presentation in Decentraland on Dec 15th. We’re giving away 2 branded wearables for all attendees. With a presentation speech by ToxSam, our CEO, that will also host an AMA session with the community. Don’t miss our demonstration video about Avatar.Webcam and our other Metaverse realms with us!

Conclusion and Next Steps

Interoperability for avatars gets closer every day. We at CryptoAvatars are committed to bring new features, integrations and avatar collections, so we can keep innovating and building the future we deserve as open metaverse citizens.

Big events are marked on our calendars. We’re super excited to release 2 big updates in the upcoming months. We can’t reveal them, but you don’t wanna miss what’s coming next. What we’re allowed to say is that many, many more avatars will soon be available.
